DESCRIPTION:Chicago Cossacks\, a Russian and Ukrainian folk music and dance ensemble\, will perform in concert. The program will feature two dancers and three musicians\, who will play ontraditional musical instruments\, such as the domra (mandolin)\, balalaika\, and bayan (button accordion). The musicians in the ensemble received formal music degrees in the former Soviet Union.\n\nThis event is part of the Wilmette Public Library's 2018 One Book\, Everybody Reads series\, which is featuring author Amor Towles's bestselling novel\, A Gentleman in Moscow\, this spring. \n\nOne Book\, Everybody Reads is generously funded by the Friends of the Wilmette Public Library.
