DESCRIPTION:Holocaust survivors and Wilmette residents Gitta Fajerstein and Sheila Gerber will share their first-hand memories of life during the Holocaust. Both women were children when they were sent into hiding. Their stories are included in the 2013 anthology\, Out of Chaos: Hidden Children Remember the Holocaust.  \n\n\n\nThis event is part of One Book\, Everybody Reads\, the Library's annual community reading and book discussion series\, which features Affinity Konar's Holocaust novel Mischling this spring. Each year\, residents are encouraged to read the selected title and participate in a series of events related to the book and its themes.\n\n\n\nThe series is funded by the Friends of the Wilmette Public Library.
