SUMMARY:W.K. Power Networking Breakfast - SCORE Mentor Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:We will begin with open networking & intros from 7:30-8:00 am\, followed by an interactive roundtable with a panel of experts from SCORE. The roundtable will center around the topic: "Problems Every Business Owner Should/Can Avoid." \nThe Chamber is partnering with the Wilmette Public Library & SCORE to present a special WK Power Breakfast featuring a panel of SCORE mentors. \n\n \n\nFor over 50 years\, SCORE has served as America's premier source of free business mentoring and education. As a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)\, SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs through mentoring\, workshops and educational resources since 1964. As a best practice\, SCORE mentors encourage their clients to bring potential problems/challenges to their mentoring sessions early on\, rather than failing first\, and then asking for help. \n\n \n\nWK Breakfast participants are asked to come to the roundtable equipped with a specific business challenge to share with the SCORE panelists and colleagues. \n\n \n\nOur SCORE experts and your business colleagues will provide insight and guidance on identifying and facilitating problem-solving to meet short-term and long-term business goals. \n\n \n\nWe will begin the morning with breakfast\, open networking & intros\, followed by the workshop at 8 am.\n\n\n\nParticipants will share a business challenge they are encountering. In the way the SCORE mentors encourage their clients to bring challenges up early on\, rather than trying to solve problems on their own first\, failing and then needing to find help. SCORE mentors will provide insight and guidance on identifying and facilitating problem-solving to meet short-term and long-term business goals.\n\n\n\nModerator/Panelist: Mark Lieberman\n\n \n\nMark is a serial entrepreneur who learned about entrepreneurship first hand by starting four different small businesses during his career. Like many\, he worked in corporate America long enough to know it wasn't for him so he gave starting a business a try. Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and has a Master's degree from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. Mark is a certified mentor with SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter. \n\n \n\nPanelist: Gary Klow\n\nGary has a known reputation for increasing profits through reducing costs and waste and improving operational effectiveness. He has over 30 years of Operations and consulting experience in consumer products\, business-to-business\, capital equipment\, pharmaceutical and food industries in companies as large at Fortune 50 and as small as privately owned with less than $15 million in sales. Gary is a certified mentor with SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter.\n\n \n\nPanelist: Richard Jacobsohn\n\nRichard is an accomplished Senior Executive and Consultant with demonstrated success spanning consumer goods\, omnichannel marketing\, art supplies\, and retail. Leveraging extensive experience in strategic leadership for customer-centric organizations\, he is a valuable asset for companies requiring expert assistance with omnichannel marketing development\, customer service improvements\, or turnover improvements. Richard is a certified mentor with SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter.
