On Sunday, November 7th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., the Wilmette Historical Museum will host a virtual lecture via Zoom with Mr. Mike Medhurst, the President of the Daguerreian Society. Mr. Medhurst will discuss early cased photography, exploring the history of the art form and giving a brief overview of how daguerreotypes are made. Mr. Medurst will also share some captivating images from his own collection. This lecture is in conjunction with the Wilmette Historical Museum’s current exhibit, “Wilmette in Photographs,” which closes November 18, 2021.
The program is free to the public thanks to the generous support of museum members and donors. Registration can be made here or on the museum website. For more information, visit www.wilmettehistory.org or call (847) 853-7666.
