Bird Walks at Gillson Park
The Illinois shoreline juts farthest into Lake Michigan at Gillson Park, in Wilmette, making this an excellent spot to observe migrant birds and an important place for the birds’ survival as they rest and eat on their long journey north every spring.
Bring your binoculars and join fellow bird enthusiasts every Sunday in May at 8:00am to look for warblers and other colorful visitors. Both beginners and experienced birders are welcome. Sponsored by Go Green Wilmette. Meet at the top of the Wallace Bowl.
