Dedication and Open House for the Baha'i Temple New Welcome Center

The public is invited to a dedication of the new Welcome Center at the Baha'i House of Worship for North America. The Welcome Center is the first major architectural addition to the landmark building since it opened to the public in 1953. The Baha'i House of Worship, or the Baha'i Temple, is one of the Illinois Office of Tourism's "Seven Wonders of Illinois." It is one of only seven Baha'i Temples and the only one located in North America. The dedication events, which begin at 12:30 pm, will include a program of prayers and choral music, followed by words of welcome from local dignitaries and representatives of the Baha'i Faith. Refreshments will be served during the Open House reception from 2 to 5 pm.
