Go Green Wilmette is having its third annual environmental fair entitled Going Green Matters on March 15. All Wilmette residents are invited to attend and to bring their electronics (no TVs) and batteries for recycling. The gathering is sponsored by the Wilmette Park District and Go Green Wilmette. It will take place March 15, 2-5 PM at the Wilmette Community Center, 3000 Glenview Road in Wilmette. The GGW environmental fair is a forum for residents to discuss environmental issues and to learn how to make positive environmental changes. Participants will have a chance to visit our information and vendor area and then attend one or more seminars including Greening Wilmette, Green Cars and More, Grow Your Own Food and Connecting Families to Nature. Refreshments will be provided by local green merchants. Older children are welcome. Join Go Green Wilmette to help improve our environment one house at a time. For more information or to volunteer, go to gogreenwilmette.org or email us at info@gogreenwilmette.org.
