Historical Museum Annual Meeting & Lecture

The Wilmette Historical Museum welcomes author Richard Cahan as the guest speaker at the Historical Museum's Annual Meeting this year. Mr. Cahan will discuss the photography of Vivian Maier and his book, "Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows," co-authored by Michael Williams. Maier's photographs explore daily life in Wilmette, the North Shore, and Chicagoland in the 1960s and 1970s. Longtime Wilmette residents will certainly recognize some of the scenes Maier captured during her time as a nanny in Wilmette. A brief Historical Society general meeting will precede the presentation and light refreshments will be served. Signed copies of the book will be available for sale following the lecture.
