Recently, the Village of Wilmette joined Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (CNSCVB) as its 10th municipal partner. The CNSCVB is the official destination marketing organization of the North Shore as designated by the Illinois Office of Tourism. The Village’s partnership affords Wilmette businesses the opportunity to take advantage of the many sales and marketing opportunities the bureau has to offer. They have a robust budget that promotes the hotels, restaurants, retailers and related hospitality service businesses. This includes print publications, websites (www.visitchicagonorthshore.com; www.enjoyillinois.com), print and digital seasonal advertising campaigns, the Monthly North Shore Insider newsletter, the monthly Do List, their Regional Newsletters, blogs and social media channels which they back with paid advertising. The bureau also actively promotes merchant district and village-wide events, as well as offer marketing collateral in terms of fresh photography, maps and other design materials.
