Two New Exhibits Opening!

The Wilmette Historical Museum welcomes you to the opening of two new exhibits!  The first, “Sox vs Cubs: The Chicago Civil Wars” is a fun look at this Chicago rivalry. Through a variety of voices, objects and interactive elements, this exhibit captures the history and depth of both sides of the rivalry and takes on the question of what it means to be a fan. 
 
The second exhibit, “Over Here and Over There: Wilmette and Gross Point in WWI,” commemorates the centennial of U.S. involvement from 1917-1918 in the Great War.  With material pulled from the Museum’s collections, the exhibit explores the ties between the soldiers in the trenches and the families on the Wilmette home front.  
 
This event is open to everyone and refreshments will be served.
